Dissidia
Hey here is another review by none other than Iori Yi Brittiana. This time I will be reviewing Dissidia for the PSP.Story: There is an ongoing conflict between two gods: Chaos, the god of discord, and Cosmos, the goddess of harmony. The two gods have battled for eons, until Chaos summoned a number of villains from other universes to serve him. These villains built an army and overwhelmed the forces of good, and the balance of power tipped in Chaos' favor. The few survivors of the forces of good have banded together to strike back at Chaos and his forces and return order to the universes.
Graphics: Nicely done 3D worlds. All the pretty bright and colorful spells you remember from FF is all here and done very nicely. Prettiest PSP game to date.
Controls: You move using the analog stick. You have an attack button(O), a jump button(X), A HP attack button(Square), a dash button(Triangle), a block button(R) and a target button(L). At first the controls for this game were very confusing but after playing a few games you will start to get the hang of it.
Characters: I was disappointed when I saw there was only one hero and one villain from each FF ranging from FF to FFXII(sorry there is no FF X-2 characters) But all you faves are from Cloud to Jecht and even a NPC from FFXI are playable.
Battle System: You perform combos by pressing the d-pad in any direction and either your attack button or your HP attack(which also your magic or skills depending the character) Also you can equip your self with weapons just like in FF. They range from your basic weapons and armor to even summons(the most broken items in the game) because they have effects that can either effect you or themselves. During battle items will appear if you grab these items you EX bar will fill. Once your EX bar fills up you can enter EX mode and if you hit your opponent with a HP attack you can unleash a devastating magical attack.
Music: If you like FF music(and who doesn't?) you will love this soundtrack all your fave songs are here from battle music from FF to One-winged angel and some are nicely remixed.
Enemy A.I: Some of characters are down-right weak and slow and some can kill you in one-hit. For the most part your opponent will run away from until the item I mentioned earlier pops ups(again reminds me of SSBB) Kinda gets frustrating at times.
Score: I give this game three stars for being a good looking PSP game, awesome remixed tracks an awesome intro and it gets a bonus point because Cloud sucks in this game.
