Elimination Chamber 2012 - Predictions
Tonight is another stop on the Road to Wrestlemania and by God is it one hell of a stop. Tonight twelve Superstars will walk into the hellacious Elimination Chamber risking their very careers just for the chance to headline Wrestlemania 28. Like usual staff, friends, and affiliates of TheNerdEmporium.com will give their predictions on who they think the winners will be?
Divas Championship Match: Beth Phoenix (c) vs. Tamina:
Kevin: Believe it or not this is one of the few times I’m actually looking forward to a Divas match on a PPV. I think if WWE actually gives this match 10-15 minutes we’ll get one of the best Divas matches we’ve seen in the last two years. Both females unlike the rest of the majority of the Divas division can actually wrestle. I’m predicting Beth Phoenix wins cleanly over Tamina, Tamina is just a stepping stone to Wrestlemania 28. I’m expecting Beth to either cut a promo or beatdown on Tamina after the match causing Kharma to make her return again setting up for a match between the two at Wrestlemania 28. So I’m picking Beth Phoenix.
DXDONMEGA (Future Endeavors & AM I On The Air?): Beth Phoenix retains.
Brian: Beth Phoenix. Are you serious? Expect Kharma to appear at the end of the match to set up a match between the two for Wrestlemania.
Alchemist_Who: My Pick: Beth Phoenix (100% Sureness)
Reason: We need to see Beth Phoenix vs. Kharma at WrestleMania, Tamina is not ready to carry the Diva's Division, she will one day though.
Ambulance Match: John Cena vs. Kane
Kevin: Very easy match to call, John Cena will end up winning this match. Don’t expect Cena to turn heel after the match or during it. If anything we’ll see a glimpse of him embracing the hate. But he still won’t turn heel until either during or after his match with The Rock at Wrestlemania. I really wish they had done this Kane/Cena feud better but at this point Kane is jobbing to Cena. So once again Cena wins whether we like it or not.
DXDONMEGA (Future Endeavors & Am I On The Air?): Cena wins.
Brian: John Cena will win this match as I see the feud ending between them to start the launch to Wrestlemania. I see Eve & Ryder helping Cena to win this match as they planned it all to get rid of Kane (or knowing Cena he'll win clean) setting up Ryder vs. Kane at Wrestlemania 28 (probably a dark card match).
Alchemist_Who: My Pick: Kane (60% Sureness)
Reason: John Cena will probably come out on top but Kane has not won a big match in a long time, he needs this more.
Smackdown Elimination Chamber - World Heavyweight Championship Match
Kevin: Honestly I’m probably the odd man out here but I don’t expect Daniel Bryan to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. The crowd has been dead for this guy despite him turning heel, which truly is unfortunate since it was a good heel turn. On top of that you have to factor in the possibility he really did give Orton a concussion. If that really did happen it’s almost certain he’ll drop the belt similar to how Christian did after winning it back. I’m predicting that Wade Barrett who’s been on a pretty good roll lately will win the World Heavyweight Champion and be a transitional champion going into Wrestlemania against Sheamus. I’m also expecting Santino to get jumped prior to the match setting up for another Superstar to take his spot, I don’t realistically see Santino being in a match with this much prestige.
DXDONMEGA (Future Endeavors & Am I On The Air?): Daniel Bryan retains.
Brian: I see Wade Barrett winning this match setting up Sheamus vs. Barrett vs. Bryan at Wrestlemania (since Bryan has a rematch clause and Sheamus has Royal Rumble win).
Alchemist_Who: My Pick: Daniel Bryan (80% Sureness)
Reason: Bryan Danielson was snubbed last year at WrestleMania when his match against Sheamus was bumped to a pre-show match. This year there are no excuses and no reason why Bryan Danielson should lose the Championship here, he's the only person who can get a good to great match at WrestleMania with Sheamus.
Raw Elimination Chamber – WWE Championship Match:
Kevin: Despite what everyone thinks CM Punk will not be walking out of the Elimination Chamber PPV as WWE Champion. I’m predicting Chris Jericho will win setting up for a Wrestlemania match between these two with Punk in the title hunt against Jericho. It’s no surprise Jericho is already on his way out of the WWE. He’s recording a new album with Fozzy & booking appearances with them already. All signs point to him leaving around May. After having Jericho lose at Royal Rumble I don’t see them booking him after such a huge return to lose at two more PPVs. Jericho has to win tonight in order to look like a true threat to CM Punk.
DXDONMEGA (Future Endeavors & Am I On The Air?): Chris Jericho wins the WWE Championship.
Brian: I see either Punk or Jericho winning this as it’s been heavily rumored that the two will be opponents at Wrestlemania 28. Probably Jericho, so he can have a title win before taking off for the entire summer to tour with Fozzy.
Alchemist_Who: My Pick: CM Punk (75% Sureness)
Reason: WWE can build on a CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho storyline for WrestleMania without Punk having to drop the Championship to Jericho here.
